NEED HELP ASAP WITH LAWYERS FEES

We are helping a lady in court to get her kids back.  The metis lawyer is willing to promo the job, so that the lady doesn't have to worry about lawyers fees.  The lawyer is just asking for traveling expenses from Victoria and back, and it would be better to stay here in a hotel for three nights.  So if you can help us, just call us to make the arrangements and make cheque out to the lawyer.  God Bless!

WISH LIST

 Kitchen:

We had someone helping us renovate the kitchen, but he has moved on now.  So we're looking for someone that can help us with the renovation.  The floor has been torn out and new tile will be laid down, and the counters have been torn out too.  They need to be rebuilt and put in the three sinker and single sink in.  Also, I need to put in a 220 wire for the stove.  We may have to run the wire on the outside walls downstairs to the panel, so we will need coax cable.

  • Sinks for the kitchen / I got a three sinker and a single sink from Restore

  • Faucet for the sink / Got a faucet now.

  • Fridge / Got a fridge

Electrical wiring that needs to be done:

  • In some of the rooms I need a plug.

    • We had an electrician come in and put in two breakers into the panel.  We now have two rooms downstairs where the plugs work.  A wrong breaker was put in for the hot water tank, and so the electrician put in a right breaker for the hot water tank.  The electrician will come in to add two new plugs upstairs, one for the stage and one for the coffee area and it will be on it's own circuts.

  • I need wire added for the stove in the kitchen (220)

  • I need to add plugs in different areas of the building.

    Upstairs:

    • The stage needs to have two plugs

    • The main office needs to have a plug added.

    • The foyer needs to have a plug added.

    • We need a plug added outside of the building.

  • Glass doors for the entrance to the Sanctuary

    • Door frame is 55 1/4 inches in width by 80" in height

Electrical wiring that got done:

  • One wire plug got added downstairs for the freezer.

  • The plugs work now in two of our offices downstairs.

Our mission is to mobilize aboriginal people towards self-reliance and independence.  We do this through "working together for our children"  to identify solutions to problems we all face in our communities.

United Native Nations (UNN) of British Columbia was formed in order to address the political and socio-economic concerns of non-status aboriginal in British Columbia (formerly known as the BC Association of Non-Status Indians).  BCANSI formally changed its name to the United Native Nations Society in 1977 as a more accurate depiction of its membership (status, non-status and Metis).

The UNN represents approximately 90,000 people in BC with membership open to ANYONE OF ABORIGINAL ANCESTRY.  Membership qualifications is based solely on aboriginal ancestry not on artificial definitions by an outdated Canadian Indian Act.  The UNN currently has a membership base of 24,000 people.  Our major concern is to properly represent and protect the interests of the aboriginal people who currently have no voice on government decisions affecting their life and culture.

Currently, the UNN is working in concert with the CONGRESS OF ABORIGINAL PEOPLES, which is a national organization representing off-reserve, non-status and Metis people, and is headquartered in Ottawa.

Please view the UNN Website at http://www.unns.bc.ca
We are b
uilding a better community...together!
